So move day is approaching and there may have been a thing or two you forgot to ask when making your booking with us. Some questions are common across all moves. Some may be kind of obscure as each move has its own specific requirements. We hope we have covered the most common ones here.

If something in particular is tickling your curiosity and you don’t find it in our FrogBlog, then please call us. We like stress–free moves as much as you do.

 

Q: We are having a sea change. Can you move us?

A: Yes. We have completed many happy moves for sea–changers and tree–changers including The Blue Mountains, country NSW, Northern NSW, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne. It’s a regular occurrence for us, so we are ready for your change of scene as much as you are.

 

Q: Do you provide a packing service?

A: Yes we sure do! Some clients love the fact they can leave the entire relocation process up to us. This can include unpacking too. Packing generally occurs the day before the move, and unpacking occurs the day after the move. Essentials are always unpacked on the day of the move for your convenience.

 

Q: Can you provide a fixed price quotation?

A: Yes. If a fixed price is preferred, we will arrange a time with you to do a site visit and approximate how long it will take to complete your move then email you with a formal written fixed–price quotation. Generally speaking though, we normally quote an hourly rate.

 

Q: What is the size of your truck?

A: Our Kermit–truck holds 50 cubic metres which is about the equivalent of a fully furnished four bedroom house. And if that’s not large enough, we also have a ute in case of over–load, or to shuttle your items through underground car parks or steep driveways if truck access is looking tricky. This is why we ask you questions about access to your property from the onset.

 

Q: Do you charge extra for weekends (in particular Sundays or public holidays)?

A: No. Our hourly rate is our hourly rate no matter what the day is.

 

Q: Do you charge travel time?

A: Sometimes. Check out our blog as to why we think it is important to charge this.

 

Q: Do you offer a cleaning service?

A: Unfortunately not. We like to focus on what we do best.

 

Q: Can I pay using my credit card?

A: Yep. Or cash or cheque.

 

Q: Can you relocate my pet?

A: No matter how calm or friendly your pet is, no, we will not take a risk by placing your pet in the back of the truck as part of the load. We love our furry friends and will not put them through any additional stress. It’s best to transport your fur–babies in the car and use a seatbelt if possible. On this note, we also do not move flammables like gas bottles and fuel. Ka–boom!

 

Q: I have a piano. Will you move this along with all my other belongings?

A: Yes, if it’s an upright piano and access to the property is fairly level and does not include two flights of stairs!!! Otherwise, your safest option is to call a piano removalist who will have specific equipment to ensure it gets moved in one piece.

 

Q: Are you insured?

A: We are covered for any scenario. Our Public Indemnity is always current and can sometimes be requested by building managers of apartments. We are more than happy to email the documents directly to your building manager upon request. We also look after the safety of our staff and hold necessary Workers Compensation insurance too. If you own any rarities, valuable artwork, coins, trinkets etc, it is best to get your own insurance for the day. Look closely at your own home contents policy as it might already include some of the things mentioned here.

 

Q: Can you provide boxes and packing materials before the day of our move?

A: Sure we can. Just let us know what you require and we will advise of the cost and then arrange a delivery time that suits you.

 

Q: Do you offer a porta–robe service?

A: We always carry porta–robes with us so you don’t have to waste time packing your hanging clothes. It takes us 30 seconds to move your hanging clothes into a porta–robe, and another 30 seconds to unload them. Not only does this service save you time, it saves creases and ironing too.

 

Q: Will you cover my lounge and mattress during the move?

A: If requested, yes we will. We always carry lounge covers and mattress protectors, as well as boxes, packing paper and tape.

 

Q: Is it true that sometimes you might break out into a song or dance during my move?

A: Sorry, but we can not deny this. You might even feel like a bit of a giggle or a big belly laugh yourself. On move day? Unheard of!
